Kate Middleton Wedding Dress - Bridal Gown


The Wedding Dress of Kate Middleton was designed by Sarah Burton at Alexender McQueen. She has also designed dress for the US first lady Michelle Obama. The dress of Kate was complete mixture of tradition with modernity as well. It was the wish of Kate to have such a dress which will represent this effect to the people.

The Wedding Gown was made up of satin with appliqué bodice and skirt. It was designed using Ivory and white satin gazar, a loosely woven silk, with skirt in an opening flower formation.
The bodice is a garment which used for the upper part of body from neck to the waist. It was made using techniques which was developed in Ireland in the 1820s called Carrickmacross.
The bridal train measured around 2.70 m that is around 9 feet.
